Shorn Documents
This is my biggest frustration with group project work in grad school. I simply do not understand what others do not understand about versioning. Via iwillwritesomethinghereeveryday:
What is it called when everyone is working on a single document in a shared environment, and then one of the group members creates a branch from the main document and copies it over to her own environment, so then whenever you make a change in the shared document you have to tell her to also make a change in her own document?
There has to be a name for this, since I’m sure it happens.
I would like to propose the term “Fucking Annoying.”
